HAND TOOLED LEATHER BELT

Using one of the methods below for determining the size needed for your belt will assist us in providing an accurate and comfortable fit every time.

Method 1: Measure a belt currently being worn.

Using a cloth tape measure for flexibility, measure the distance from the end of the hook or prong on the buckle (depending on the buckle type) to the currently used hole on the belt. Be sure to follow the curved contour of the belt with the tape measure and if possible confirm that the hole on the belt with the most used look is indeed the one that is currently being used. Pull the tape measure reasonably tight but don't stretch it. (Guard against the temptation to stretch the tape to conform to what you think the measurement should be.) Round the measurement up to the next whole number and then select the appropriate size from the drop down size menu.

Method 2: Measure the person.

Using a cloth tape measure for flexibility, pass the tape measure through the belt loops of a representative pair of pants (just as you would a belt) while they are being worn. (Avoid doing this without the person wearing the pants and also take the time to thread the tape measure through the pant loops as this insures proper positioning and an accurate result.) Round the measurement up to the next whole number and then select the appropriate size from the drop down size menu.

Method 3: Measure the pants.

This method is not as accurate as the previous two. Using a cloth tape measure, pass it through the belt loops of a representative pair of pants. (Guard against the temptation cinch up the tape to conform with what you think the measurement should be, such as the manufacturers listed pants waist size.) Round up to the nearest inch and choose the appropriate size from the size drop down menu.

Method 4: Choose the size using the listed manufacturers waist size.

Although this is the least accurate sizing method if we know beforehand that this is the method used to obtain the size we will adjust our specifications to compensate accordingly.
